Service Robot SMF Heavy Manipulator Vehicle

Technical Specifications

1986. A fateful year in the history of the peaceful use of nuclear power. The reactor at Chernobyl exploded, releasing tremendous amounts of radioactivity. In an effort to help, the entire world sent technical equipment – all of which failed miserably, being unable to cope with the high levels of radiation. This event prompted development of the largest, most effective manipulator ever built. Designed, developed and manufactured by telerob engineers, the SMF still sets the global standard 15 years after delivery of the first system. Equipped with such revolutionary features as programmable robotic controls, tool center point control, and integrated backup solutions for computer running gear and manipulator, the SMF blazed the technological trail for all subsequent generations of telerob robots and manipulator vehicles.
